Mackler Associates Offers Free Consultation for PSAT Score Evaluation

Mackler Associates helps students and parents understand the results of their PSAT. They offer a free half-hour consultation to review results, answer questions, and plan future test preparation.

St. Louis, United States - November 26, 2018 /PressCable/ —

St. Louis, MO (November 2018) –Thousands of juniors across our area took the PSAT in October. While the PSAT, as a shorter version of the SAT, serves as a qualifying test for National Merit scholarships, it principally serves as an introduction to the SAT and provides excellent feedback on whether a student should take the SAT and what the student might need to improve upon before taking the test.

On December 10, 2018, students and parents will have a chance to create an account and access online the results of the test. The report actually contains a great deal of data, and not everyone knows exactly how to read it or interpret what it means. The report will contain all of your test answers, the correct answers, and several indices of scores. The most important scores to you immediately will be your verbal score (out of 760), math score (out of 760) and your index score (for scholarship purposes). You will see subscores for critical reading, writing and multiple math categories. You will receive your test booklet back from your school counselor at some point, but in the meantime, all of your actual answers and the explanations for the questions you missed will be featured online.

The data is key to planning a student’s college admissions exams prep – not only providing information about the PSAT itself, but also whether the SAT or ACT might be the better test fit.

To help students and parents understand the results better, Mackler Associates is offering a free half-hour consultation in its office to review the results, answer any questions about them, and help plan out future test preparation.

Anyone who would like to take advantage of this offer is encouraged to contact Jason Marks at Mackler Associates, either via email at jsmarks@mackleradvantage.com or by phone at (314) 434-4431 to schedule an appointment. Mackler Associates also has a Facebook page.

Winter and spring test dates in both the ACT and the SAT are fast approaching, so scheduling test preparation now would be ideal.

The “Phase 1” accord is the opening step on a possible path toward a broader agreement between the nations. Poll: World skeptical Trump will do right in global affairs

Aug 13, 2020

WASHINGTON — The world is still skeptical that after nearly three years in office President Donald Trump will do the right thing on foreign affairs, according to Pew Research Center polling released Wednesday. The poll was conducted well before Trump signed off on a U.S. drone strike that killed Iranian Gen. Qassem Soleimani last week. The strike has pushed tensions between America and its longtime Middle Eastern nemesis to high alert and led to Tehran launching ballistic missiles at two Iraqi military bases that house American troops. Majorities of people in many of the 33 nations surveyed by the nonpartisan...

US prepares for possible Iranian reprisal after drone strike

Aug 13, 2020

WASHINGTON — U.S. officials braced for Iran to respond to the killing of its most powerful general, noting heightened military readiness in the country and preparing for a possible “tit-for-tat” attempt on the life of an American military commander. President Donald Trump ordered the Jan. 2 strike against Gen. Qassem Soleimani, the head of Iran's elite Quds Force, after the death of an American contractor in Iraq. Now, as the massive demonstrations of Iran's public mourning period for Soleimani come to a close, officials believe the next steps by America' longtime foe will determine the ultimate course of the latest...

Bolton willing to testify in impeachment trial if subpoenaed

Aug 13, 2020

WASHINGTON — Former Trump national security adviser John Bolton said Monday that he is “prepared to testify” if he is subpoenaed by the Senate in its impeachment trial of President Donald Trump. Bolton, who left the White House in September, said that he has weighed the issues of executive privilege and that after “careful consideration and study” decided that he would comply with a Senate subpoena. “I have concluded that, if the Senate issues a subpoena for my testimony, I am prepared to testify," he said in a statement. Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell has publicly expressed resistance to calling...

Trump warns of sanctions if Iraq tries to expel U.S. troops

Aug 13, 2020

WASHINGTON — President Donald Trump insists that Iranian cultural sites are fair game for the U.S. military, dismissing concerns within his own administration that doing so could constitute a war crime under international law. He also warned Iraq that he would levy punishing sanctions if it expelled American troops in retaliation for a U.S. airstrike in Baghdad that killed a top Iranian official. Trump’s comments Sunday came amid escalating tensions in the Middle East following the killing of Gen. Qassem Soleimani, the head of Iran’s elite Quds force. Iran has vowed to retaliate and Iraq’s parliament responded by voting Sunday...
